March 1960: Approved by Ministry of Transport, its name was determined as Jinan Auto Repair and Parts Factory directly supervised by Ministry of Transport.
1963: The Yellow River 350 tipper truck was successfully developed.
1983: Introduced STEYR 91 range of heavy duty truck manufacturing technology project from Austria with the state approval.
1984: The united heavy duty truck company introduced complete vehicle technology from Austrian STEYR AG and started to produce STEYR heavy duty trucks in China with Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory as the main project sponsor.
Jan. 18, 2001: The establishment of New SINOTRUK was officially announced and Ma Chunji acted as the president of the board directors and secretary of CPC SINOTRUK Committee.
Aug. 18, 2002: SINOTRUK set up China’s largest manufacturing base of heavy duty axles.
June 9, 2003: SINOTRUK and Volvo Group signed an agreement regarding a joint venture of heavy duty truck at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in due form. June 30, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China approved the joint venture contract signed between SINOTRUK and Volvo. July 10, the joint venture Jinan Huawo Truck Co., Ltd. was set up.
Feb. 12, 2004:HOWO heavy truck rolled off the line, helping the domestic heavy truck technology climb to a new level. At present, HOWO truck has become the largest single brand sales model in China's heavy truck industry.
Apr. 18, 2006: The SINOTRUK heavy truck engine production line, which takes the leading position in the world, was put into operation.
Nov. 28, 2007: SINOTRUK was listed on HKSE main board as a red chip. The company name listed is SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) Limited, stock code: 3808.
July 15, 2009: SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) Limited signed an agreement with German MAN Company in due form to form strategic partnership in capital, technology, products, markets and other aspects.
Sept. 28, 2010: SINOTRUK Chengdu WANGPAI Commercial Vehicle
Co., Ltd. was unveiled.
Jan. 15, 2011: SINOTRUK held a groundbreaking ceremony to make its first investment of RMB 1 billion to construct the new site of Fujian Haixi Automobile Co., Ltd.
January 17, 2013, SITRAK - the cooperation brand between SINOTRUK and MAN was launched.
2015, China’s only “National Research Center for HDT Engineering and Technology” was completed and SINOTRUK officially moved its HQ into SINOTRUK Technology Building.
2016 Year. SINOTRUK first generation smart truck was launched, which was equipped with advanced driving assistance systems such as EBS, ESC, AEBS, ACC, LDWS and HAS. 
2018 Year,The world's first unmanned electric truck, which was manufactured by SINOTRUK, was put into trial operation in Tianjin Port. The HOWO-T5G, equipped with Beidou Positioning System, laser radar, millimeter wave radar, camera and other apparatuses, can drive 120km at full load with charging time less than one hour.
2020 Year,SINOTRUK launched the new-generation HDT brand Yellow River. Equipped with low wind resistance trailers, the wind resistance coefficient (Cd) of the model reaches 0.37, 30% lower than the mainstream products in the industry, far ahead of trucks sold at home and abroad. At the same time, the trunk logistics tractor of the Yellow River has Level 2 intelligent driving. The Level 3 unmanned system interface is reserved, which can meet the needs of Level 3 unmanned driving function expansion in the future.
